Riassunto
The MSc deals with the problem of energy harvesting from structural vibrations exploiting piezoelectric harvesters. A distributed parameter model of the device has been derived and the electro-mechanical governing system of differential equations has been solved for obtaining the power output. The vibrations source is a bridge, modelled as an Euler-Bernoulli beam with different boundary conditions, excited by a point load travelling with constant velocity.
