Riassunto analitico
This work is centered on the development and test of a health telemonitoring platform for elderly people affected by Chronic Hearth Failure (CHF). The intent is to define a telemedicine solution improving the quality of life of patients and reducing costs for health system. Starting from users requirements (physicians and patients), a telemonitoring system has been designed, focusing on usability. A friendly user interface was realized to reduce the distance between technologies and elderly people. This telemonitoring system consists on a pool of wearable sensors that allows acquiring vital parameters from patients, like ECG track, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and weight. The home gateway is responsible for receiving data from sensors, process alarm situations and communicate with medical facility to sending data acquired and to receiving an Operation Protocol which sets the behavior of home gateway. The system is based on well-known standards like HL7 CDA documents, XML allowing a good interoperability with other systems. Particular attention was dedicated on security aspects and data reliability.
