Riassunto
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the ability of recruited healthy subjects in perceiving and localising discrete vibrotactile stimuli delivered on the abdomen while walking. The main goal is to find an optimal stimulation intensity in order to achieve an effective and good vibration transmission. The device is made of a sensing apparatus and a feedback one and it is designated to further achieve the restoration or the improvement of the deafferented sensorimotor system in amputees in order to enhance their gait pattern and kinematics.
