Riassunto
Questo lavoro di tesi nasce dallo sviluppo del progetto di implementazione ed ottimizzazione di un sistema informativo per la gestione delle scorte, introdotto per migliorare le prestazioni di un magazzino interno dello stabilimento KME Italy S.p.A. di Fornaci di Barga. Nella prima parte dell’elaborato viene descritta brevemente l’azienda di riferimento e i suoi principali processi organizzativi di interesse, mentre la seconda sezione definisce il sistema informativo di gestione delle scorte in questione, il R.O.G.S. (Refilling Orders Generation System), spiegandone le relative logiche di funzionamento. La terza ed ultima parte descrive nel dettaglio il progetto, strutturato secondo l’approccio del PDCA: viene spiegato come è stato implementato il sistema all’interno delle dinamiche aziendali e come è stato, in seguito, ottimizzato per renderlo user friendly e più efficiente nella gestione del deposito, in termini di stock out e di sovrascorte. Infine, vengono ipotizzati i possibili sviluppi futuri nella gestione e nell’andamento del magazzino, fissando valori target per gli indicatori di performance.


This thesis work describes the implementation and the optimization of an information system for inventory management. The aim is to improve the performance of a warehouse in KME Italy S.p.A. plant, situated in Fornaci di Barga. The first part deals with the description of the company and its main organizational processes and the second one defines the information system for stock management (R.O.G.S.: Refilling Orders Generation System), explaining its functional logics. The third and final part concerns the project, which is structured on the PDCA approach: it explains how the information system has been implemented within the company and how it was bettered in order to make it user friendly and more efficient in the stock management, preventing stock out and overstock. Finally, the possible future developments of the inventory management are hypothesized by setting target values ​​for key performance indicator.
