Riassunto analitico
IEEE 802.16, also known as WiMAX, is one among the leading technologies for Mobile Broadband Wireless Access, which is aimed at providing users equipped with mobile devices, like PDAs and mobile phones, with broadband services, like Voice over IP, instant messaging, and video streaming.
In this thesis work we analyze the behaviour of several scheduling algorithms for the downlink PUSC of an IEEE 802.16e compliant system, using Voice over IP traffic.
We also investigate system and traffic parameters impact on system performances
