L' elaborato, dopo aver presentato una rassegna dei principali risultati teorici in tema di aste tradizionali, si propone di descrivere il peculiare ambito delle aste online, nonché di illustrare le motivazioni che ne rendono necessario un approfondimento specifico. Dopo aver evidenziato le diversità puramente teoriche che intercorrono tra i due tipi, si intendono fornire, alla luce dei più recenti risultati raggiunti in letteratura, le spiegazioni a dei comportamenti strategici di evidenza empirica.
After having presented a review of the main theoretical results in terms of traditional auctions, the project aims to describe the peculiar scope of online auctions, as well as to illustrate the motivations that make it necessary a specific study. After highlighting the purely theoretical differences between the two types, we intend to provide, in light of the most recent results achieved in literature, explanations of strategic behavior of empirical evidence.
