Il presente lavoro riguarda la normativa della protezione delle vittime considerata nel contesto nell'Unione Europea .
La tesi è volta a fornire una panoramica delle principali strumenti nell'Unione Europea per la protezione delle vittime di reato durante il processo e anche dopo di esso.
Nella prima parte mi sono concentratta nella presentazione della evoluzione della normativa internazionale sul tema concentrandomi sull'evoluzione della normativa dell'Unione Europea dai suoi inizi fino ai nostri giorni.
Nella seconda parte ho trattato piu in detaglio tutti i diritti spettanti alla vittima durante il processo, relazionato con la Direttiva 2012/29/UE.
Nella terza ed ultima parte ho trattato della violenza di genere. In questa parte ho incluso informazione sulla normativa internazionale in generale sul trattamento del fenomeno della violenza di genere. Poi alla fine di questa parte ho incluso il svilupo di questo tema nel ordinamento Italiano.

The present work concerns the legislation of protection of victims seen in the context in the European Union.
The thesis aims to provide an overview of the main instruments in the European Union for the protection of victims of crime during the trial and even after it.
In the first part I focussed to the presentation of the evolution of international standards on the issue by focusing on the evolution of EU regulations from its beginnings to the present day.
In the second part I have dealt more to details all the rights of the victim during the trial, related to the Directive 2012/29 / EU.
In the third and last part I have dealt with gender violence. In this part I have included information on international regulations in general on the treatment of the phenomenon of gender violence. Then at the end of this part I included the svilupo of this theme in the Italian legal system.
