La Tesi ha lo scopo di evidenziare il processo di introduzione del modulo Material Requirements Planning (MRP1) nel software gestionale di un'azienda metalmeccanica italiana di medie dimensioni. L'autore parte dall'analisi dei processi aziendali attuali (situazione "as-is") rilevandone le maggiori criticità che possono essere risolte tramite MRP1; delinea successivamente i nuovi processi ottenuti a seguito dell'introduzione di MRP1 (situazione "to be") evidenziando la risoluzione delle problematiche precedenti. La gestione del processo di passaggio dalla situazione "as is" a quella "to be", con tutte le operazioni di allineamento dati, costituisce il cuore della Tesi. L'elaborato si conclude con l'indicazione di possibili aspetti collegati a MRP1 da approfondire nell'ottica del miglioramento continuo dei processi aziendali.

This Thesis aims to highlight the process of introduction of the module “Material Requirements Planning – MRP1” in the management software of an Italian medium size mechanical company. The author starts his own work analizing the present company processes (the so called “as is” situation), taking over the most important critical issues that should be solved by MRP1 software; subsequently he describes the new processes obtained after the introduction of MRP1 (the so called “to be” situation), pointing out the resolution of the previously described problems. The management of the transition process from the “as is” situation to the “to be” one, including all data allignment operations, represents the core of the Thesis. The work ends with the indication of further possible aspects linked to MRP1, that could be developped to make possibile the continous improvement of the company processes.
