Riassunto analitico
Next generation wireless networks are required to support the mobile users’ increasing traffic demand and to provide an extended high data-rate coverage.
The LTE technology uses advanced techniques such as OFDMA, in order to efficiently respond to the growing interest of both users and providers in high-performance mobile networks.
LTE-Advanced is a further improvement towards the definition of a 4G wireless network, as it is designed to meet the IMT-Advanced requirements. One of the key elements introduced with this technology is the employment of relay nodes.
The use of this devices implies the deployment of new cell architectures and consequently, it poses new challenges in the definition of efficient resource allocation schemes.
In this work, an algorithm to determine the throughput-optimal link scheduling has been designed, implemented end evaluated through computer simulations.
