Riassunto
This thesis is the result of a three month internship in an R&D unit of a company operating in the telecommunications industry. The scope of this thesis is to create behavioral models that can explain the reduction on innovation and learning activities due to the introduction of the Agile software development practices. In fact, since the Agile methodology was adopted in 2013, the company registered a systematic reduction on innovation and learning activities worldwide. My project provided useful explanations about the psychological and sociological causes of that reduction, defining a causal model between variables. Data collection was performed conducting 37 semi-structured interviews, which has been recorded and transcribed, and collecting internal documentation. A literature research have been conducted in order to detect the most suitable constructs to measure the innovative behavior and people’s propensity to learn, and to detect constructs supposed to be correlated with such variables in a relation of cause and effect. On the basis of these constructs, a questionnaire has been administered for all organizaton’s employees. Through the software Pajek the Social Network Theory has been considered. In fact Pajek has been used both to conduct a visual exploration of the network, and to calculate the main sociometric parameters. The results of the questionnaire have been analyzed through RStudio, to detect the link between parameters. Eventually, managerial implication are discussed.
