Riassunto
This thesis is focused on one of the typical phenomena of the plasma phase: the color screening effect and the possible influence of a non zero baryon density, using Lattice QCD. Lattice simulations provide an extraordinary “first principle” tool for the theoretical QCD vacuum analysis and the deconfinement transition, as they are able to explore conditions in which analytical or perturbative methods fail. Debye's masses are extracted from the Polyakov loop correlators, calculated at imaginary chemical potential, the only case in which the Monte Carlo Method is still applicable without modification, and then compared to those that can be obtained from the Thermal Field Theory, via analytical continuation.
