Riassunto
In this thesis basic principles of hydrology and hydroelectric power plant are discussed. Garfagnana environmental system is briefly described. Spatial interpolators have been studied and applied to understand weather variables behaviour on a specified area. Data imputation has been done for satellite data. A neural net ensemble has been created and tested. Non-linear Auto Regressive eXogenous input (NARX) algorithm has been developed for basin level modelling. Acceptable results are
within 1 to 6 hours ahead.
