La tesi tratta della possibile correlazione tra il fenomeno del Football Hooliganism tra anni 70 e 90 in Inghilterra con le crisi socio-politico-economiche che colpirono la Gran Bretagna nel medesimo periodo. Verrà effettuato anche un focus sulla storia del movimento Ultras in Italia, così da poter fare un confronto tra i movimenti, sia sulla differenza nella loro nascita, sia sul perché il fenomeno degli hooligans in Inghilterra è stato arginato e sul perché in Italia questo non è stato fatto. Nella prima parte dell’elaborato verrà analizzata la nascita del movimento calcistico in Inghilterra, ovvero nel 1800, con lo studio di alcuni casi di disordini intorno al mondo del calcio già in quell’epoca, da non confondere però con gli episodi di teppismo relativi al mondo hooligans. Vi sarà anche un intero capitolo di inquadramento storico per quanto concerne la Storia dell’Inghilterra tra gli anni 1960 e il 1990, per poter meglio aiutare il lettore nel comprendere il legame che lega il Football Hooliganism e le crisi socio-politico-economiche.

The thesis deals with the possible correlation between the phenomenon of Football Hooliganism between the years 70 and 90 in England with the socio-political-economic crises that hit Great Britain in the same period. There will also be a focus on the history of the Ultras movement in Italy, so as to make a comparison between the movements, both on the difference in their birth, and on why the phenomenon of hooligans in England has been curbed and why in Italy this is not been done. In the first part of the elaborate we will analyze the birth of the football movement in England, or in 1800, with the study of some cases of disorders around the world of football already at that time, not to be confused with the episodes of hooliganism related to the hooligans world. There will also be an entire chapter of historical framing regarding the History of England between the years 1960 and 1990, in order to better help the reader to understand the link between Football Hooliganism and socio-political-economic crises.
